    AC...on a JEEP!?!

Ahhh, I see...it's a Toy Jeep (hence the TJ!)! 8-)

Jones, I resent (or is it resemble!?!) that remark! I used to drive my CJ7 (which sat on 36's!) to work DAILY...and I wear suit & tie (usually!)!!! Got some GREAT looks though...no top, no doors, and Hank Jr. drowning out the hum from the Super Swampers!!! ;-)

Well if you drovw to work on a two track, I'm cool. On a highway I'm perplexed.
Loud, slow, drafty and tippy is not a highway car.

In the woods, I've never had to walk home though.

Oh come on now...65-70MPH is FUN with a narrow wheel base and on 36" tires!!! 8-) As far as drafty, I usually took the hard top off in April, and didn't put it back on until November! A bikini top is all you need!!!

You DO have the loud part right...I had headers and only had header mufflers on it!

Wish I could say that...but alas, sometimes that 'old enough to know better, young enough to do it ANYWAY' has gotten me into trouble.

The drafty was a problem from September to May here. Coldest deer hunting I ever did was driving home at night;).

Nice picture. That will get you out of the woods. A highway though?

Well, between the REAL heater and the headers/'engine block heater'(it started out life as an 'Iron Duke' 4-banger which just WOULDN'T do...opted to put an AMC 360 in it!)...mine would melt your boots if you weren't careful!

My coldest hunting was one Spring turkey season in April...it went from the 70's to the upper 40's (daytime HIGHS!) in a matter of 24 hours! I wasn't ABOUT to put the damn hard top back on and concede though. Coldest hour drive I've EVER had!!!

Thanks...that was (sold it a while back!) my 5th CJ (and had a Wagoneer & Cherokee somewhere in between!). Probably have another one before long, even though JEEP is a four letter word at MY house!!! 8-)

Anyway, it never bothered me...with those homemade bumpers (3/8" plate steel!) not many people cut you off and tended to get out of your way! Besides, the double takes alone were worth it...imagine seeing that going down the highway (minus the doors!) and then realizing that the guy was wearing a SUIT!!!

Couldn't tell you the times people told me :" Ah-hem, you seem to have mud on the back of your pants!". 8-)

Yeh, im know im a candy ass, but I believe im due a few well earned luxuries at the ripe old age of 29. Like power steering. And cruise control. But this AC thing is intolerable. Taking off my hard top creates rain (farmers should rent me out) and i can never get the bikini top to stay on right. The terrorists have won.
